Nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, the Lake of the Ozarks is the Lake Tahoe of the Midwest. With more shoreline that the State of California, the "Lake" is a major draw for fun-lovers throughout the region. Columbia is located in Central Missouri midway between St. Louis and Kansas City just off Interstate 70. Home to the University of Missouri, a.k.a. Mizzou, the region is both a college town and a thriving metropolitan area.
